Savings.com.pk checks important Prize Bond information before publishing or updating it. The aim is to make results, schedules and practical guidance easier to use without presenting unverified information as confirmed fact.
Sources We Prefer
For current Prize Bond information, we give priority to:
- Central Directorate of National Savings
- State Bank of Pakistan / SBP BSC
- Federal Board of Revenue for tax-related information
- Reliable secondary sources only when an official source does not provide the required detail
Older Savings.com.pk pages or third-party Prize Bond websites are not treated as the final authority for changing facts.
How We Check Draw Results
Before a Prize Bond result is treated as complete, we aim to verify:
- denomination
- draw number
- draw date
- draw city
- First Prize number or numbers
- Second Prize numbers
- complete Third Prize winning list
Prize Bond numbers are stored and checked as six-digit identifiers where applicable.
For example:
004381 is not changed to 4381.
Leading zeros are preserved because they are part of the winning number.
Partial Results on Draw Day
First and Second Prize numbers may become available before the complete Third Prize list.
When this happens, Savings.com.pk may publish the available First and Second Prize numbers while clearly showing that the complete list is still being verified and uploaded.
A draw is treated as fully complete only after the required Third Prize list has been added.
Draw Schedule Checking
Upcoming draw information is checked for:
- denomination
- date
- city
- draw number where available
An upcoming draw is not presented as a result.
Once the draw takes place and winning numbers become available, the result record can be updated separately.
Prize Amounts and Active Denominations
Prize structures and available denominations can change.
When publishing current information, we check the latest available official source for:
- active denominations
- First Prize amount
- Second Prize amount
- Third Prize amount
- number of prizes
- ordinary or Premium status
Historical draw pages may retain the prize structure that applied at the time.
Tax and Claim Information
Information about Prize Bond tax, claim periods, claim forms and claim locations is checked against the relevant current authority.
FBR may be used for tax matters, while National Savings and SBP/SBP BSC are preferred for Prize Bond claim procedures and forms.
We do not assume an old form or procedure is still current simply because it appears on an older page.
Premium Prize Bonds
Rs.25,000 and Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bonds have different rules from ordinary bearer bonds.
When covering Premium Prize Bonds, we check details such as:
- registration
- prize structure
- draw eligibility
- profit rate
- payment method
- tax
- transfer or other scheme rules
Current Premium information is kept separate from the withdrawn bearer versions of the same denominations.
When Official Sources Differ
If two sources appear to conflict, we look at:
- which authority issued the information
- publication or notification date
- whether one source is newer
- whether one source specifically covers the issue
- whether a formal circular or notification provides clearer guidance
We use the most relevant and current authoritative information available.
Corrections
If a confirmed error is found, we correct the affected information.
This may include:
- wrong winning number
- missing number
- incorrect draw date
- wrong city
- incorrect prize amount
- outdated tax rate
- old claim form
- incorrect scheme information
