The current ordinary National Prize Bond amounts for Rs.100, Rs.200, Rs.750 and Rs.1,500 are published by SBP BSC. The Premium Prize Bond figures are published separately for the registered Rs.25,000 and Rs.40,000 schemes.
Ordinary and Premium Prize Bonds
Rs.100, Rs.200, Rs.750 and Rs.1,500 are ordinary bearer National Prize Bonds.
Rs.25,000 and Rs.40,000 are Premium Prize Bonds (Registered). They are registered in the investor’s name and also provide biannual profit in addition to quarterly prize draws.
The old bearer Rs.7,500, Rs.15,000, Rs.25,000 and Rs.40,000 Prize Bonds are not part of the current active denomination list. National Savings currently lists six active denominations: Rs.100, Rs.200, Rs.750, Rs.1,500, Rs.25,000 Premium and Rs.40,000 Premium.
Prize Money Is Before Tax
The prize amounts shown above are gross amounts before withholding tax. National Savings currently states that prize money is subject to 15% withholding tax for filers and 30% for non-filers.
